Three members of Kokang Family of Ming Arrested in Laukkai, To be transferred to China

The State Administration Council Government released a news that there out of four members of Kokang Family of Ming have been arrested in laukkai in Shan State. A wanted notice has been issued by the China side against their family of four for their involvement in cases of on-line cheating, taking away of people with false hope given, abduction of people, illegal detention and extortion in Kokang Self-administered Zone in Shan State.

This morning saw the arrest of the three of four members of the wanted family—Ming Xuechang, Ming Guoping aka Ming Xiaoping and Ming Zhenzhen in Laukkai. They will be transferred to Chinese authorities, it is learnt.

The Chinese side issued a warrant on 12 November against Ming Xuechang, who is a former Member of Parliament and a prosperous entrepreneur in Kokang, and his three members of family for involvement in on-line gambling and cyber creating in Kokang area along the China-Myanmar border.

The Chinese Public Security Ministry has issued an arrest warrant, declaring that the person giving their information will be awarded a prize of Yuan 1 to 5 lakhs.

Besides, the Kokang Self-administered Zone Court on 15 November issued an arrest warrant against this family of four.

And the aforesaid three have been arrested in Laukkai while his daughter called Ming Julan is still elusive. Myanmar authorities are making arrangements to transfer the detainees to Chinese authorities.
