The security forces on 23rd September raided Zhapian (telecommunications scamming) gang in Mingalar Muse Compound in Muse township in Northern Shan State, it learnt.
When raided, the gangsters launched attacks on the security forces with the use of small arms, resulting i the exchange of fire. As a consequence, two members of the security forces were wounded, it is also learnt.
During the raid, a total of 513 were arrested with the computers and accessories used in online cheating. Among them, there are eighty male and three female Chinese while there are 147 male and 283 female Myanmars.
Further investigation has led to conducting search of a house in Homon Ward and five firearms and six cartridges and 77 rounds of bullet were seized during the search. Action will be taken according to the law, it is learnt.
