Air travellers needed to produce RDT Test or RT-PCR Test starting from August 1
Commencing from 1st August, those travellers entering Myanmar via international flights or relief flights are required to produce upon arrival at the airport the RDT Test or RT-PCR Test conducted within 48 hours, announced the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Those who have entry visa and international flight ticket shall have a health certificate proving that they have Covid 19 vaccines injected 14 days ago. Similarly, they have already
had RTD test or RT-PCR test conducted within 48 hours, and the test results shall be negative.
Those who have fulfilled these requirements shall upon arrival at the airport have undergone necessary checks by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Immigration. Additionally, they shall also have RTD test conducted at the designated place at the airport to check if they are Covid 19 positive.
Those who are found negative can proceed to their destination, but those found positive shall be sent to the designated hospital or treatment center or to a hotel for receiving the medical treatment, said the MoH announcement.
As for those who enter with the relief flights, they will be sent to the hotel or the quarantine centre after having undergone the necessary checks by MoH and MoI.
The quarantine period is seven days, and RDT test will be conducted on the first day, and the RT-PCR test will be conducted on the 5th day.
Those found negative will be allowed to proceed to their destination, said MoH.
