Only when MNDAA, TNLA and AA make unambiguous response to our invitation, we can start the negotiation, said said SAC Chair Prime Minister Senior General Minn Aung Hlaing to Chinese Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Li Quiang at Haigeng Garden Hotel in Kunming on 6th November morning.
Myanmar Tatmadaw on its part has unilaterally announced ceasefire since 2018, and has launched attacks against the armed organisations only when it was attacked since then.
The said three organisations have rejected the Tatmadaw’s generous offer for peace made in April of 2022, and MNDAA with it’s objective to revive it’s Special Region 1 launched attacks on the Tatmadaw security camps in the border area in Shan State North as well as on Chin Shwe Haw town on 27th October in 2023. “With the intervention of the Chinese government, a peace agreement was reached, which they violated, continuing to attack the towns and villages. If they really want peace, the door is always open to them for discussion,” said Senior General Minn Aung Hlaing.
Therefore, MNDAA, TNlA and AA, the armed terrorist organisations, are required to do what should be done instead of bringing to the fore their wishes. Only when they make unambiguous and unequivocal response, we can discuss with them, said Myanmar PM.
He also pointed out that only when there prevails peace and tranquility in the border areas, can the bilateral economic and trade cooperation be enhanced and that the illegal businesses and unlawful trading activities of the armed organisations in the border areas are needed to be cracked down so that their assistance can be cut off, it’s learnt.
