Regarding the Sino-Myanmar Economic Corridor Cooperation Project, SAC Chair PM Senior General Minn Aung Hlaing said Myanmar has laid special emphasis on this project during his meeting with Chinese counterpart on 6th November morning in Kunming.
Amongst the 52 countries investing in Myanmar, China is the second largest investor, and thus, the safety and security of the Chinese investments, Chinese projects and the Chinese citizens are being well protected.
“For the development of Myanmar, discussions will be continued for cooperation in economic and technology sectors, providing of assistance and safety and security of energy sector. Concerning China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Cooperation Project, Myanmar has laid special emphasis,” said the SAC Chair.
Additionally, construction activities will be commenced soon where possible concerning Muse-Mandalay-Kyaukphyu Railway Construction Project, said the Senior General.
In discussion with those Chinese entrepreneurs who are already investing and the prospective entrepreneurs, they are found to have ardent desire to contribute to Myanmar’s economic development, said the Senior General, who promised to provide full support and cooperation.
The Senior General has discussed in detail the arrangements for investment in agriculture, sports, health and rural development sectors.
