LDU team arrives Nay Pyi Taw for peace talks

At the magnanimous invitation by the State Administration Council Chairman, the Lahu Democratic Union (LDU) sent a negotiation team led by the General Secretary Kyar Salmon.  He arrived at Nay Pyi Taw at 13:30 hrs on 5th July accompanied by his team members.

The peace negotiation team led by the LDU General Secretary was accorded a rousing welcome upon arrival at the NPT airport by National Unity and Peace Coordination Committee members, the responsible personnel from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, the indigenous people from the Department of Fine Arts, departmental officials and the local people.

The flags are waved as a gesture of welcoming the peace negotiation team with the crowd holding the  placards bearing

the following clauses: to attain eternal peace is the genuine desire of the entire mass of the people; to meet and discuss for the union to be peaceful; only when the indigenous people are united, will there be peace, stability and prosperity.

The SAC chairman has demonstrated his magnanimity by inviting the Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) on 22nd April to come for peace negotiation with the wise objective of attaining eternal peace throughout the nation as well as of elimination of armed conflicts once and for all.
