SAC chair discusses sending scholars to Novosibirsk State University

State Administration Council (SAC) Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on 16th July visited Novosibirsk State University in Novosibirsk. The university was founded in 1958, and is ranked 226 in 2022 by QS World University. Novosibirsk State University is a privately owned research university.

The SAC chairman was conducted around the Novosibirsk State University to observe the exhibition halls which display the research findings on science and technology, the Faculty of Chemistry, the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology, the findings of Biology and Geology, predictions of future with the use of modern technology, the laboratories and the classrooms.

Additionally, the Rector of the University briefed the Sr Gen on the facts about the University, matters relating to admission of the international students and the curriculum related matters.

Moreover, the Rector explained the arrangements for accommodation of the students at the hostels and the gymnasium in addition to the plan to welcome the students from Myanmar.

Similarly, the SAC Chairman also made enquiries into the desired qualifications for selection of the scholars with civilian and military backgrounds.

Novosibirsk State University has the Faculty of Social Science, the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, the Faculty of Philosophy and Law, the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanical Science, the Faculty of Physics, Geology and Geophysics, the Faculty of Natural Science, the Faculty of Information Technology, the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Training.

Concerning the language studies, language courses on English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese are being delivered as the second language.

Afterwards, the SAC Chairman proceeded to the Higher Military Command School where he paid floral tribute to the heroes who have sacrificed their lives and limbs for the sake of the country. He also observed firing of small arms in the Simulator Hall by the trainees. Next, he observed the weapons manufactured by the Russian military.

The responsible persons from the Higher Military Command School offered a souvenir, which is an eighty years old device used in aiming the gun at the target.
