Concerning return to the legal fold on the part of the PDF members, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun said, “We have opened the door wide enough. The PDF can come in without any worry whatsoever.” He said so at the 18th press conference held in Nay Pyi Taw at 1 pm on 26th July.
The returnees are welcomed to the reception camps by the responsible persons, and they are made to sign the personal undertaking. Afterwards, they are trusted back to their parents.
The Major-General said that there are still many PDF members who wish to return to the legal fold but they are being hindered by the doubts and distrusts over the government because of the rumours spread by the unscrupulous elements.
Up to now, a total of more than 230 PDF members have returned to the legal fold. In addition to the PDF, similar organizations are also welcomed if they come to the light again.
